Found in Queensland Australia at elevations of 200 ot 400 meters among low shrubs and grass on slopes and among grasses in sparse woodlands that partially flood during the wet season as a small to large sized, hot growing terrestrial with 2 to 3, basal, erect, bluish green leaves that blooms in the summer and early fall on an erect, 8 to 21.5" [20 to 53 cm] long, 8 to 20 flowered inflorescence and carrying slightly fragrant flowers.
