Common Name The Falcate Petal Habenaria
Flower Size 1.54" [3.1 cm]
Found in northern Thailand and Vietnam in hill evergreen forests at elevations around 1500 to 1675 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, slender stem carrying from the base up, 3 or more leafless clasping sheaths and then 5 to 6, cauline, clustered towards the middle of the stem, elliptic-oblanceolate, acute to acuminate leaves grading above into 1 to 2, erect, lanceolate, sterile bracts that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, terminal, glabrous, 20" to 44" [50 to 90 cm] long overall, rachis from 5.6 to 8.8" [14 to 22 cm] long, lax, to 8 flowered inflorescence with a 5.8 to 8.8" [14.5 to 22 cm] long rachis and lanceolate, acute floral bracts.
