Common Name The Smooth Habenaria
Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]
Found in Cape Province, Natal, Orange Free state and Transvaal South Africa in well drained montane grasslands at elevations of 700 to 2200 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with numerous, elliptic, acute, cauline, basally stem clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on a fairly dense, 12 to 30 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate longer than the flowers floral bracts and carrying, faintly sweetly fragrant, green flowers with yellowish green petals and lip.
