Common Name Lastell's Habenaria [French original collector of the type 1800's]

Flower Size

Found in Madagascar at elevations around 16 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with no tuber but an erect, delicate, leafy stem carrying linear-lanceolate, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erct, terminal, to 14" [35 cm] long, laxly several flowered inflorescence with acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
