Found in central Madagascar on rocky quartzite outcrops at elevations of 1400 to 2200 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing lithophyte with an erect stem carrying several, suberect, lanceoalte, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, uniformly densely many flowered inflorescence carrying white flowers
