Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in wet shady forests as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by imbricating, becoming sheaths above, elliptic-oblong, acute to slightly acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the early summer on an erect, terminal, 5.2 to 5.6" [13 to 14 cm] long, laxly 12 to 14 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, long-acuminate, as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying patent to erect-patent, green flowers.
