Found in Rio Grande Do Norte and Paraiba states of Brazil in open tabuleiro sites (savanna pockets), on surfaces that accumulate water as a hot growing terrestrial with tubers giving rise to lanceolate leaves that blooms in the late spring and fall on an erect, several flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying greenish flowers
