Common Name Spruce's Habenaria [English Botanist and Orchid Collector 1800's]

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Venezuela, Guyana, French Guiana, Surinam and northern and eastern Brazil in riparian forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a small to just medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with 3 to 5, distichous, linear, acute leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, to 3.2" [8 cm] long, laxly 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence with erect, lanceolate, acute, mostly longer thant he flowers floral bracts.

+"This species is similar to H. aff. nuda. The flowers are completely green and the species is typical of seasonally humid grassy fields.
