"Habenaria szlachetkoana is distinguished from H. nogeirana because of the leafy stem, the first elliptical, obtuse, towards the apex lanceolate, acuminate, narrower and narrower, the largest is the penultimate, about 3.4" [3.5 cm] in length, .32 [8 mm] wide; the inflorescence in loose raceme, with around 19 flowers; the lower floral bracts exceeds the flowers, it becomes equal to the ovary above; the sepal dorsal is ovate and obtuse; the acuminate, lanceolate lateral sepals, about .34" [8.5 mm] long, .08" [2 mm] wide;the posterior lobe of the petals are narrow, falcate, and .26" [6.5] mm long and .04" [1 mm] wide; the anterior lobe Ris sharply rounded and about .36" [9 mm] long, .016" [0.4 mm] wide; the side lobes of the labellum are about .5" [12.5 mm] length, .016" [0.4 mm] wide; and the median linear lobe, attenuated and rounded and about .36" [9 mm] long, .04" [1 mm] wide Habenaria szlachetkoana is related to H. fiflifera which differs in the following features: the inflorescence is in dense and narrow clusters; the floral bracts below equal the ovary; The segment posterior of the petals is oblong, sharply rounded, 6 mm long and equilongate to the anterior segment; lateral lobes of the labellum well varicated, arched, distally incurved, .18" [7 mm] long, equally as long as the middle lobe; middle rounded lobe, a little wider at the base and with a linear-cylindrical nectary, .44" [11 mm] long.
