Found in New Guinea, the Bismark Archipelago, the Moluccas, the Solomon Islands, Queensland Australia, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu at elevations around 250 to 1000 meters as a hot to cool growing terrestrial with leaves in the middle of the stem.

Schlechter states that the flowers are grass green.
