Found in Madagascar as a medium sized terrestrial with an erect, slender stem carrying at mid stem, 8 to 10, basally clasping, linear-acuminate, largest in the middle leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, terminal, 3 to 5" [10 to 12.5 cm] long peduncle, rachis 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, few t oseveral flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
