Common Name The Unalaska Platanthera [An island in the Aleutians]

Found in the western US and Canada as a cold growing terrestrial of forests, open meadowlands, rocky hillsides and tundra with 2 basal leaves that wither by blooming in the late spring and early summer on an erect, racemose inflorescence with distantly spaced, yellow flowers that open in succession.
