Common Name Warnock's Hexalectris [American Botanist 1900's] - Texas Purple Spike

Found in southern Arizona, southern New Mexico, and southern Texas at altitudes around 1830 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing mycoheterotrophic leafless orchid that blooms in the early summer on an erect, racemose, 2.8 to 9.2" [7 to 23 cm] long, purple, 1 to 6 flowered inflorescence with small purple floral bracts.
