Common Name The Terete-Leafed Holcoglossum - In China Ao Chun Cao She Lan

Flower Size 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm]

Found in Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Hainan China in primary montane forests at elevations around 1000 to 2200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing, monopodial epiphyte with a pendant stem carrying terete, pendant leaves that blooms in the spring with an arching to pendant, branching, 30" [75 cm] long inflorescence carrying numerous [10 to 15] thinly textured, crystalline white 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] blooms.

Similar to H auriculatum but H subulifolium has broadly ovate, entire margined petals instead of narrowly elliptic and denticulate margined petals
