Found in northern Madagascar in mossy forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect to oblique, slightly compressed stems enveloped completely by appressed, leaf bearing sheaths carrying 4 to 6, near apical, slightly rigid, very thick, semi-cylindrical, narrowly linear, often recurved, dark green leaves sprinkled with white dots that blooms in the summer on an erect, shorter than the leaves, peduncle to 1.6" [4 cm] long, below the center with 4 thick, rigid, heavily veined sheaths, bare above the center, single flowered inflorescence .
