Common Name The Sword-Bearing Jumellea [refers to the leaves]

Flower Size 1.8" [4.5 cm]

Found in the Comoros Islands in rainforests as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with very short stems carrying large, erect to spreading, ligulate leaves that blooms in the later spring through summer on many, axillary, 3.2 to 6" [8 to 15 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 4 to 5 basal sheaths

This species is very similar to J arachnantha and J sagittata but seems to be rather smaller than both.
