Found in Costa Rica and Panama in premontane rain forest to cloud forest and disturbed primary forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with 3 to 5, ligulate to oblanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on an axillary, 1 to 1.28" [2.5 to 3.2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
