Common Name Houtte's Kegeliella [Belgian Orchid Enthusiast 1800's]

Found in Venezuela, Guyana, French Guiana, Surinam, Trinidad and Tobago and Para' Brazil in dense, fairly tall forests at elevations of 600 to 700 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with light green, hard, shiny, ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped below in youth by dark brown sheaths and carrying a single, apical, plicate, 5 nerved, greeny brown on top, maroon-brown below, elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a pendant, thin, pale green with red brown hairs, to 4 to 12 flowered inflorescence
