Flower Size 4 to 5" [10 to 12.5 cm]

Found in Brazil on tall trees or in massive clumps on rocks at elevations of 800 to 1500 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphytic or sometimes lithophytic species with club-shaped, compressed, grooved pseudobulbs with a single, apical, suberect, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse or notched apically leaf that blooms mostly in the summer on a 12" [to 30 cm] long, racemose inflorescence, arising from a large flattened sheath, carrying 4 to 9, fragrant, showy, long-lasting flowers.
