THROUGH
Common Name The Erect Lankestrella
Flower Size .15" [.33 cm]
Found in Cartago province of Costa Rica, Venezuela, putumayo department of Colombia, Loja province of Ecuador and Peru in cloud forests at elevations of 1300 to 3000 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a basal rosette of 4 to 8, ciliate margined, soft, fleshy, oblanceolate to lanceolate, acute to acuminate, petiolate to sessile base leaves that blooms in the winter through summer on a somewhat arching, peduncle 1.6 to 2" [4 to 5 cm] long, very delicate, wiry, densely long-pilose, rachis .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, racemose, densely villose, secund, loosely 1 to 7 flowered inflorescence with ovate to broadly ovate, attenuate towards the apex, herbaceous, thin, densely long pilose externally and along the margins, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, inconspicuous, resupinate, tubular, whiote to pale gereen flowers with a white lip with green venation.
