Found in Ecuador, Peru and Brazil in very wet tropical forests at elevations around 400 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with ovoid, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] between each pseudobulb enveloped by 3 to 5 foliaceous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, subulate, fleshy, sulcate leaf that blooms in the winter on a terminal, racemose to subpaniculate, glabrous, to 3.2" [8 cm] long, 8 to 15 flowered inflorescence with a finely pubescent ovary and carrying very small, pale green flowers suffused with pink.
