Found in Chiapas Mexico and Guatemala in cloud forests at elevations of 2400 to 2900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, flexuous ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 7, muricate-dentate lepanthiform sheaths with papilose-verrucose ostia carrying a single, apical, elliptic, acute and tridentate apicallly, lightly arcuate, fleshy, intense green, axialmente sulcate on the back, slightly twisted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring and earlier summer on 2 to 6, filiform, terete, to .84" [to 21 mm] long, mostly on the top of the leaf, distichous, sinuous, more cogested towards the apex, successively single to 10 flowered inflorescence
