Common Name The Massif de la Hotte Lepanthes [A mountain range in eastern Haiti]

Found in Haiti in montane broadleved forests at elevations around 2175 to 2375 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with ascending to nutant ramicauls enveloped by 5 to 9, ribbed, microscopically ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, acute, acute below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms on 1 to 4, shorter than the leaf, arising on the back of the leaf, .8 to 1.4" [2 to 3.5 cm] long, distichous, congested, adpressed to the leaf, successively single, 10 to 28 flowered inflorescence.

Characterized by a congersted raceme borne behind a narrowly elliptic leaf with narrowlty triangular sepals amd narrowly oblong petals and a bilaminate lip with narrow apices curved beneath the column.
