Found in northeastern Colombia and northwestern Venezuela in cloud forests at elevations of 2500 to 2850 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, ramicauls enveloped basally by 5 to 7, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovoid, purple flecked, attenuate, minutely tridenticulate apically leaf that blooms in the later spring on a few, slender, erect, congested, distichous, 1 to 1.8" [ 2.5 to 4.5 cm] long including the .2 to .8" [5 to 20 mm] long peduncle, successively single many flowered inflorescence arising on the back of the leaf.
