Common Name The Wolf Head Lepanthes [refers to the shape of the petals]

Found in Colombia and Ecuador in wet cloud forests at elevations around 1600 to 2700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 4 to 5, microscopically cilate, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, margined, miniutely erose, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a congested, distichous, .24" [6 mm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence arising on the back of the leaf
