Common Name The Tiny Phallus Lepanthes [refers to the appendix]

Found in La Paz department of Bolivia at elevations around 2000 to 2600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 8, minutely ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, purple suffused beneath, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on 1 to 2, filiform, congested, .76 to .85" [1.8 to 2.1 cm] long including the .12 to .24" [3 to 6 mm] long peduncle, successively single, many flowered inflorescence arising on the back of the leaf.
