Common Name Cathcart's Liparis [Amatuer Botanist in India 1800's] - In China Er She Yang Er Suan

Found in Sichuan and Yunnan China, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim and northeastern India in moist areas along valleys or on grassy slopes at elevations of 1900 to 2100 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped by white, membraneous sheaths and carrying 2, elliptic, ovate to ovate-oblong, herbaceous, slightly crisp margined, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terete, slightly flattened, narrowly winged, 3 to 10" [7.5 to 25 cm] long, racemose, several to 10 flowered inflorescence
