Found in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia? in very wet montane cloud forests at elevations of 350 to 2600 meters as a small to medium sized, pendant growing , hot to cool growing epiphyte with an elongated pendant stem carrying many imbricating, disitchous, basally clasping, obliquely and narrowly triangular leaves that blooms in the spring and fall in the northern hemisphere on a shorter than the leaves, 1 to 6 flowered inflorescence arises from along the axils of the leaves towards the apex of the stem.
