Found in Panama and Colombia in montane forest at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with erect to pendant stems completely enveloped by many distichous, imbricating, alternate, leatrhery, basally clasping, leathery, obliquely oblong, obtuse, entirely conduplicate leaves that blooms in the spring and early summer on a short, successively few flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the stem.
