Found in Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia at elevations of sealevel to 400 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with distichous, foliaceous stems enveloped completely by imbricating, linear-lanceolate to narrowly triangular, obliquely acute to acuminate leaves that blooms in the fall through early spring on an axillary, very short, single flowered inflorescence
