Found in Peru at elevations around 580 to 600 meters in seasonally dry forests with evening fog as a small to medium sized hot to warm growing epiphyte that has a woven belt shape with a upright to spreading, flattened stem completely enveloped end to end by distichous, imbricating, basally clasping, entirely conduplicate, triangular leaves that can bloom in the fall and winter, with a short, 4 to 6 flowered, racemose inflroescence arising from near the apex of the imbricating leaf axils.
