Common Name The Thin Flowered Lockhartia
Flower Size .48 to .64" [1.2 to 1.6 cm] tall
Found in Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 1100 to at least 1900 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with apparently erect, more or less rigid stems carrying 38 to 55, laterally flattened, narrowly triangular in side view, obtuse to rounded apically leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on both terminal and axillary, visible protion .4 t o1" [1 to 2.5 cm] long, more or less simultaneously 1 to 6 flowered inflorescence with amplexicaul, widely ovate to suborbicular, cordate, obtuse to apiculate, expanded to campanulate floral bracts and carrying widely opening, resupinate flowers.
