Common Name The Short-Inflorescence Luisia - In China Xiao Hua Chai Zi Gu

Flower Size 1/4 to .4" [7 to 10 mm]

Found in the Chinese Himalayas to southern Yunnan Province of China and Assam India, Bangladesh, eastern Himalayas, western Himalayas, Andaman Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam in forests along valleys on tree trunks at elevations of 200 to 1900 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with an erect, woody stem carrying a few terete, straight to curved, jointed leaves that blooms in the spring on a sessile, .4" [1 cm] long, few [5] flowered inflorescence that arise in an open umbel held very close to the stem and leaf axil.
