Common Name Hancock's Luisia - In China Xian Ye Chai Zi Gu

Found in Zhejiang, Fujian and western Hubei provinces of China on rocks and on cliffs along valleys or on tree trunks in sparse woods at elevations of 200 to 1300 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte or epiphyte with tufted, suberect, rigid, terete stems carrying several to many, terete, fleshy, 2 to 3.6" [4 to 9 cm] long, amplexicaul and clsping base leaves that blooms in the spring on an, opposite of the leaves, .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long, racemose, usually 2 to 3 flowered and carrying flashy flowers
