Found in Java at elevations around 915 meters as a large sized, warm growing, monopodial epiphyte with a terete, pendant, elongate, leafy towards the apex stem carrying, many, terete, grey-green, blotched purple when young, acute leaves that blooms in the early fall on a very short, successively 2 to 3, many flowered inflorescence with triangular, concave floral bracts. This species has 3 nerves on the petals and has the side lobes attached to the basall 2/3's of the hypochile..
