Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Costa Rica at elevations around 750 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with inconspicuous, compressed, ellipsoid pseudobulbs enveloped completely by 3 to 5 leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying conduplicate, laterally flattened, lanceolate to narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on a subumbellate, few flowered, to 4.4" [to 11 cm] long inflorescence with lateral, subumbellate branches produced successively from the last bract of the inflorescence below the rachis.

This species is readily distinguished by it's triangular-rhombic blade of the lip with the short claw adnate to the column and the presence of 2 membraneous, glabrous callii.
