Found in Panama and Colombia in premontane forests at elevations around 100 to 750 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, equitant epiphyte with flattened pseudobulbs enveloped by distichous, imbricate, longitudinally folded leaf-bearing sheaths carrying elliptic-lanceolate, conduplicate, acute leaves that blooms on a slender, axillary, .4 to .56" [1 to 1.4 cm] long, 4 to 5 flowered inflorescence.
