Found in Sarawak Borneo in lower montane ridge forests at elevations of 1200 to 1300 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a several flowered inflorescence provided with a prominent, light green sheath and carrying slightly sweet smelling flowers with an orange ring at the base of the petals
