Found in northeastern Bolivia and Parana Brazil in subtropical wet forests as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing epiphytic orchid with fusiform, aggregate, sulcate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, narrow, green, shortly conduplicate,lanceolate, acute to acuminate leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on a basal, pendulous, dark maroon, racemose, to 5.6" [14 cm] long, 9 to many flowered inflorescence carrying showy flowers.
