Common Name Alvaro's Malaxis

Flower Size .12 to .16" [3 to 4 mm] long

Found in Morelos and Guanajuato states of Mexico in oak forests at elevations of around 2250 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with subterranean, ovoid, white pseudobulbs giving rise to an erect stem 4" [10 cm] long, then carrying a single apical, erect, ovate, obtuse to rounded apically, slightly cordate basally leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, peduncle to 4" [10 cm] long, racemose to corymbose, rachis winged, to 2" [5 cm] long, 20 to 45 flowered inflorescence carrying resupinate, dark green flowers,
