Found in northwest Yunnan Province of China and northern Thailand on rocks at elevations around 2600 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with subglobose pseudobulbs carrying 2, ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse apically leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 2.4 to 3.6" [6 to 9 cm] long, 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence with reflexed, narrowly lanceolate, shorter than the pedicel, acuminate apically floral bracts
