Found in New Guinea and Sulawesi in forests near rivers at elevations around 300 to 1200 meters as a small sized, hot to coolgrowing terrestrial with crowded linear leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a terminal, erect, successively several, many flowered inflorescence and carries color variable flowers
