Found in Pakistan?, the western Himalayas, the Chinese Himalayas, the eastern Himalayas and Nepal at elevations of 2200 to 3500 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with small conical tubers giving rise to an erect stem with 2 to 3 basal sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptic, subacute, undulate margined leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate bracts
