Common Name The Juventud Malaxis [An island to the south of Cuba]

Found in Cuba as a miniature to small sized, erect, glabrous, hot growing terrestrial with fleshy roots with approximate, fleshy, short pseudobulbs enveloped completely by 1 to 2, scarious sheaths and carrying 2, thin, plicate, ovate-elliptic, acute to subacuminate, gradually narrowing below into the short petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, 6" [15 cm] long, rachis short, laxly several flowered inflorescence carrying nonresupinate, greenish flowers. .
