Found in Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands in open foothill forests at elevations of 260 to 450 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a creeping rhizome giving rise to an erect stem carrying 3 to 7, ovate to ovate-elliptic, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, peduncle and rachis weakly costate, 3.4 to 12" [8.5 to 30 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
