Found in New Guinea at elevations around 200 to 500 meters as a hot growing terrestrial with a short stem carrying 4 to 6, erect-patent, obliquely ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, glabrous, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a 16" [40 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
