Common Name Akemi's Masdevallia [Sra Tsubota Colombian Female Orchid Enthusiast current]

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in Colombia without locality as a mini-miniature sized epiphyte with furrowed ramicauls enveloped by 1 to 2, scarious, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the furrowed, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an ascending to erect, terete, slender, straight, to 2" [5 cm] long, single flowered inflroescence holding the flower above the leaves with a tubular, close, scarious, acute floral bract.
