Found in Ecuador around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender, blackish ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous narrowly elliptical, obtuse to subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a slender, 2" [5 cm] long, erect then pendant, successively single, to 5 flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract near the middle and another at the base and has tubular floral bracts.
