Common Name or Meaning The Molossus-Like Masdevallia

Found in Costa Rica and Panama around 1000 to 2500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms at any time of the year on an erect, slender, 1.2 to 1.8" [3 to 4.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract near the base and a tubular floral bract.
