Found in central Peru at elevations around 2500 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 1 to 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf and blooms in the late spring on an erect, slender, triquetrous, 10.2" [26 cm] long, distantly successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising from the base of the ramicaul, with a tubular basal bract and thin floral bracts.
